I recently spoke at PAX on a panel about women in gaming. The panel was an excellent experience and was preceived well.
On of the attendees wrote up a nice summary and had some wonderful things to say. You can read it here. I had such a blast that
I may look for more speaking opportunities in the future, as I'd love to educate other in topics such as game development, production, and
being a woman in a male dominated field.
In my free time, I'm programming on an indie title with 2 Snowblind devs and a fellow coworker at 5TH Cell. We're starting to
pick up speed and things are going really well. We're starting to develop an online presence. You can follow us on
twitter and check out
my blog for updates on the dev process.
I've been hard at work at 5TH Cell producing an unannouced title, and saw two more games ship at the end of last year. Both
Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (DS) were amazing learning experiences. 5TH Cell is great! I'm working with
fantastic people and learning new things about myself and game developement. Soon I'll be heading out to GDC this March. If you
see me there, be sure to stop and say hi!
I graduated on Sunday and have officially finished four years at DigiPen. I also have a job which I will be starting on May 11th.
I'll be the new Associate Producer on Scribblenauts over at 5TH Cell. You can read more about it at my blog
here
