I recently graduated DigiPen Institute of Technology in April of 2009 with a major in Real-Time Interactive Simulation, which is a buffed-up computer science degree with a heavy focus on video game programming. I currently work at 5TH Cell in Bellevue, Washington as an Associate Producer.
I grew up in Vacaville, California and had my first job in the game industry writing reviews of newly released games for GameHelper.com at the age of 15. After writing 50+ articles and covering major conferences like PAX and E3, I applied to DigiPen and was enrolled in September of 2005. I was given an opportunity to intern at 5TH Cell during the summer of 2008 as a programmer. I was credited on Lock's Quest as QA and spent most of my time writing content pipeline tools for the upcoming Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter for DS.
I put time, heart, and energy into forwarding my career, but I am also very involved in other things outside of games. I was the President of the DigiPen Student Association for two years. Our mission was to expand the culture at DigiPen and making sure students had their voices heard. I have been dancing classical ballet since I was 9 and danced as Principal Dancer for the Vacaville Ballet Theatre Company before moving to Washington. I am currently still studying ballet (classical and contemporary styles), jazz, and hip-hop. I also play in the Game Developer Soccer League on the 5TH Cell team and program on a super secret indie game project in my free time.
Creating video games is my passion and I look forward to pushing on, further growing and learning from each new experience.
